In very simple terms, ‘strategy’ or ‘strategizing’ is a way to think about the future in an organized and prioritized approach to achieve defined goals or fulfill a vision. By definition, strategy begins with clarifying goals, vision and articulating values. Starting here not only enables greater clarity and communication but also provides client focus.
At AGORA, we use strategy as a process not only to clarify client goals but more importantly to achieve these goals and vision by adding real ‘value’ to the client. You’ll hear the term creating value a lot from us.
Creating value is an AGORA strategic goal for its advisors and its clients. More specifically, creating value is an Agora process of assisting clients in aligning their thoughts and actions to build significant and lasting value within their business. We call this process Value Aligned Management (VAM).
Value can have different meanings and importance to different clients. AGORA starts the Value Aligned Process with the most important question … WHY? What are the desired goals? Does value translate into increased sales, increased competitive advantage, new products, acquisitions? Perhaps aligning more personal values in the business?
Chartering this path to create additional value involves a multi-step process of evaluating internal and external drivers, which include management team assessments, customer assessments, supplier assessments, product lines, services, and business processes. Our Value Aligned methodology is followed by business valuation and development planning to allow superior decision making and increase business agility. Execution of the plan is then monitored, with updates to the client.
AGORA, developing significant and lasting value for our Client’s businesses.
