Discover What’s Possible When You Begin to Think Differently About Your Work
What is Discover?
Agora’s Discover is a 5-hour Friday evening and Saturday morning lecture and discussion workshop designed to encourage every Christian that works for a living – who sits in church on Sunday and goes to work on Monday.
During Discover, the attendees and our facilitators discuss the biblical view of our work in the marketplace (Agora). We discuss why we work showing the theological and the practical, and teach how we as Christians can live our faith at work to truly transform our jobs and make a significant impact on our companies and local communities.

Discover’s Purpose
To challenge and inspire working men and women to live life with the Lord Jesus Christ – at work, and thus reflect the glory of God and His salt and light with our employers, coworkers, customers, students, and our local community.
Why Discover?
When you think about it, much of the trouble, trials, and difficulty we face in our lives is related to our work. Where we live, what opportunities we have, and the quality of our relationships are all influenced by our work. Our work even impacts the other important areas of our life: our family and our health!
Stress, anxiety, frustration, uncertainty, pain, loss, hope, debt, wage, rest, life goals, talent, purpose, and direction…. all things we deal with in our work and the Gospel speaks to and gives clarity about each of them!
This workshop is about learning to view our work with a Gospel lens, “discovering” what’s possible, facing work challenges and trials with greater confidence, purpose, and competence. As a result, we will find deeper meaning and better results in and through our work. We also learn to work more competently, representing Jesus well, and even possibly making our job, our ministry for our purpose, and His glory!
